Improved Refrigerant Analysis

Cai Mep Containers are happy to announce that our suite of refrigerant testing equipment now includes the Neutronics Ultimate ID Refrigerant Identifier. This device is capable of detecting and identifying chlorine-based impurities in both R134A and R404A. At this stage, there is no device capable of detecting R404A. However, the Ultimate ID is capable of identifying whether the impurities are gases of type other than R40, such as R12 or R22 which are among the most common sources of refrigerant contamination. By doing so, we can effectively eliminate R40 as the cause in cases of refrigerant contamination by other culprit gases. If R40 is possibly the cause of contamination then further testing by chromograph spectrum is required to make a precise identification.

We continue to stress that Cai Mep Containers’ refrigerant supply has proved to be 100% pure and without a single case of contamination. None of our customers were affected in any way by the contamination crisis that occurred in 2011. However, we are sensitive to our customers’ desire for ever increasing levels of assurance and trust that the addition of the Ultimate ID Refrigerant Identifier to our equipment portfolio helps toward this end. We continue to use only genuine branded DuPont (USA) refrigerant sourced from their sole authorized distributor in Vietnam.
The acquisition and use of this device also complies with Carrier Testing Procedures released in October 2012 as per the attached bulletin which are now applied by Cai Mep Containers.
